easy routes (6 or 12 miles) to get you started round the scenic area
of Loch an Eilein and Loch Morlich, near Aviemore. The
second route is an extension of the first one.
way to get out and see the countryside of this area and the longer route
is a scenic way to reach the campsite at Glenmore - an alternative to
cycling along the busy ski road.
remember to close all gates and leave the land as you found it.

in the car park at Inverdurie next to the shops
further along the ski road take the road to the left and head for
Blackpark (third road off to the left as you go up the ski road).

- At Blackpark,
take a left for Loch an Eilein along the track. You will go past a
croft and through a couple of gates before you come to the single
track road into the car park for Loch an Eilein.
along the track heading left through the forest that is clearly marked
for mountain bikers.
this track remembering that there will be a fair number of walkers
round the Loch.
a few miles you will reach the crossroads near Loch Deo. Grid ref:
have the choice - do you have the pace to keep going and go for broke
with the longer route??!

left to head back to Coylumbridge Hotel
will pass Whitewell Croft on your left and will need to cross a
locked gate before you reach the caravan park on the roadside.
left at the road and head down the road towards Inverdurie and Aviemore.
a longer route (12 miles)
straight on at the cross roads mentioned above and simply follow
the track and the signposts.
via the metal bridge, because although there is a ford, it can actually
be deeper than it actually looks!!

next two junctions carry straight on following the signs through the
